Floor Covering
Inspection
Does the new carpet in your home shed
excessively? Is there a slight color difference from one side
of the room to another or along the seam?
Does your hardwood or engineered floor have
cracks, cupping, excessively wide spaces between
planks?
Flooring retailers, homeowners, carpet
manufacturers, hard surface flooring manufacturers and counter
top manufacturers rely on independent experts when
settling a warranty claim.
In the flooring industry, these experts are
called certified flooring inspectors.

Greg Althouse is certified by
the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration
Certification as a Senior Practicing Flooring Inspector, and by
the National Wood Flooring Association as a Certified Wood
Flooring Inspector. Greg has testified as an expert
witness regarding flooring conditions, installations, and
manufacturing defects. He has twelve years of experience as a
certified flooring inspector.
Greg has also attended
training schools and seminars from various
manufacturers.
Greg is highly respected in
the industry with clients ranging from homeowners and local
flooring retailers to commercial properties to national chains
like Lowe's and Home Depot to internationally
known manufacturers like Shaw Industries, Pergo and
Formica. He is regularly contracted to inspect warranty issues
as far as Albuquerque, Ruidoso, and central Texas. He
often inspects flooring in El Paso as well.
To avoid any conflict in
interest when assessing flooring problems, Althouse Cleaning
does not sell carpet, tile, wood flooring or any
other flooring.
After an inspection is made,
results and opinions are the property of the company or
individual who asked for the inspection. Therefore only they
will receive such information.
