Althouse Restore constantly seeks better techniques and equipment to provide the best possible results for their clients.
Althouse Restore trucks carry industrial cleaning machines (hot water extraction) to clean carpet, tile and grout, upholstery, and air ducts. These machines provide high power suction perfect for extracting water in a flooded home or business. Pressure washer guns connected to the truck mounted machines are used to strip soot from masonry and oil from driveways.
Althouse Restore has extensive drying equipment to dry your carpet, hardwood floors, inside your walls and under your cabinets. Motorized and hand held “top down drying” equipment extracts water from carpets without removing pad. Traditional carpet and pad removal is available when required.
Althouse Restore facilities include areas to clean, ozone (neutralize smoke odor) and store contents after fires. Computerized inventory along with photos allows easy retrieval and documentation that insurance company’s require. In the field, smoke & fire technicians remove toxin-laden soot from buildings using IICRC approved techniques, equipment and cleaning solutions.
Althouse Restore and many of its individual technicians are certified by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification(IICRC), a non-profit certification and standards organization. After extensive initial training, technicians must attend continuing education courses to retain their IICRC certifications. Our technicians undergo additional weekly technical training, and special skills such as communicating with stressed clients in an empathetic and professional manner.
